Terms of Service

Effective 2 October 2026
The short version. Use Dungeon Keeper in line with Discord's rules and your server's rules. Don't use it to hurt people. Coins and items are for fun and have no real-world value. The bot is provided as it is, by a small team, on hardware we run ourselves.

Agreement

These terms cover the copy of the Dungeon Keeper Discord bot and web dashboard that Billybots ("we", "us") operates. You accept them when you use the bot in a server, sign in to the dashboard, or add the bot to a server. If you don't agree, don't use it.

You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. How we handle data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

The source code is published under the MIT licence. These terms apply to our hosted copy, not to copies other people run themselves.

Who can use it

You must meet Discord's minimum age in your country. Age-restricted features only work in channels marked age-restricted in Discord. You must also meet any higher age a server sets for membership.

The bot is in a private beta. We decide which servers can use it, and we may decline or withdraw access.

Server administrators

If you add the bot to a server or configure it, you are responsible for how it is used there. That includes:

  • choosing which features are on, and telling your members about features that affect them;
  • setting and enforcing your own server rules;
  • only enabling age-restricted features in channels Discord marks as age-restricted;
  • handling members' requests about their data in your server, with our help where needed.

Acceptable use

Do not use Dungeon Keeper to:

  • harass, threaten, stalk or expose anyone, including through its anonymous features;
  • post or share illegal content, or any sexual content involving minors;
  • contact someone who has a no-contact order against you, or get around a block, a jail or a moderation action;
  • spam, exploit bugs to gain coins or items, or automate use of the bot or dashboard;
  • interfere with the bot, the dashboard or the hardware they run on, or try to reach data you are not allowed to see;
  • break Discord's terms or the law.

If you find a security problem, please report it privately rather than exploiting it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as bios, whispers, confessions, game entries and photos. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the feature you used, in the server where you used it. You are responsible for what you submit.

Anonymous features hide your identity from other members, not from server administrators, who can see who sent what.

Coins, games and items

Coins, items, XP and other rewards exist only inside the bot. They have no real-world value. You cannot buy them with money, sell them, or exchange them for money or anything of value. They are not your property. Casino-style games use only these coins and are for entertainment. No real money is ever wagered or paid out.

Server administrators and we may adjust, reset or remove balances and items. For example, we may fix a bug, reverse an exploit, or rebalance the economy.

Other services

Some features rely on other services, such as Discord, YouTube, Spotify and Anthropic. Their own terms apply to them, and they can change or stop working without notice. Music playback in particular depends on services we don't control and may be unavailable.

Availability

Dungeon Keeper runs on hardware we operate ourselves. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or unchanged. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

Ending use

You can stop using the bot at any time. A server can remove it at any time. We may suspend or end access for a user or a server that breaks these terms, or where we need to in order to protect members, the service or ourselves. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to data afterwards.

Disclaimers and liability

Dungeon Keeper is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, coins, items or access, arising from your use of the bot. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot legally be limited, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and we will announce significant changes in the servers where the bot runs. If you keep using the bot after a change, you accept the new terms.

Contact

Questions about these terms can go to us in the Billybots Discord server. Inside a server that runs the bot, its administrators can be reached with /ticket open.
